Mr. Arnel Victor C. Valeña

Mr. Arnel Victor C. Valeña is one of the Firm’s Special Counsel for Litigation, contributing his extensive practice in commercial, civil, and criminal ligation, administrative law, family law, and labor law. He likewise handles cases involving the competition law, telecommunications, environment, mining, and elections law.

Mr. Valeña received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the same university. Mr. Valeña was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2007.

Currently, he is a trustee and Assistant Secretary of the Philippine Bar Association, and likewise serves as a commissioner of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Commission on Bar Discipline. Mr. Valeña serves as President of the Tagapagtanggol ng Watawat, Inc., a lawyers group established to support and uphold the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines. He also teaches at the Philippine Law School and is a supervising lawyer at the University of the Philippines College of Law Office of Legal Aid.
